What makes the SGUDA Lock unique?
The SGUDA lock is a lock for your connected home that is designed just to work, unlike other smart locks on the market, we have more function then open and close, but are not packed with every single open protocol possible, which may not be useful and cause unnecessary security burden. Instead SGUDA is designed with the user’s needs in mind, and a unique 3-tier management and 3 operations mode that will make it perfect for single, rental properties and for the office.

With that said, we still have not forgotten the most important aspects of a lock, which is to keep you and your property safe, which is why we our cyber security protocols utilize the latest technologies and designed with security as our primary objective.

HOW DOES THE SGUDA LOCK CONNECT TO MY PHONE?
Simply press the “connect” button on the insde part of the lock to enable to bluetooth connectivity of the lock, then you can connect it as you would any bluetooth device. Download and install the bespoke SGUDA app and follow the instruction within the app. Easy as 1-2-3!

What happens if my SGUDA lock runs out of power?
The SGUDA app will notify you when the power is running low, when this happens, the battery should still be good for 2 weeks, but when it does please be sure to replace the batteries as soon as you can. When the power runs out, you will need to use the physical key to open the lock, which is why it is still good to have the key option as backup.

What happens if I forget to lock my door?
Unless you have set your SGUDA lock on “Open” mode, it will automatically lock once you close the door. If it is unable to lock (because the door is not properly), it will notify you that it is not lock. In any case you can always check the status of the lock from your SGUDA app.

IS SGUDA LOCK HARD TO INSTALL?
Not at all, change the physical lock like you would a normal lock. After you pop in the batteries on the lock, connect it to the phone via bluetooth, download the SGUDA app and follow the instructions on there.

What happens if I lose my phone?
It’s much simpler and cheaper compared to losing your keys (where you need to hire a locksmith to come), when you lose your phone, simply use the computer or borrow someone’s phone to remotely sign-out of your account, thus disconnecting the lost device from the lock.

How to buy a SGUDA lock??
SGUDA lock will be on Kickstarter crowdfunding in Spring of 2020. Leave your email on the bottom of the page to be notified when we go live.

What happens when my phone runs out of power?
Ask someone who has access to remotely open the door for you, or use a computer or borrow someone’s mobile phone to log-in to your account online. Or you can always go the old-school route and hide a key under the door mat or somewhere secure for those emergencies.
